High-risk AI system

Under the EU AI Act, an AI system used in a context where it could significantly affect people's safety or fundamental rights, such as recruitment, education, essential public services, law enforcement, or critical infrastructure. High-risk systems are subject to strict requirements around risk management, data quality, human oversight, and documentation before they can be placed on the market.
