Donald Hebb
A Canadian psychologist whose 1949 book "The Organization of Behavior" proposed that connections between neurons strengthen when they are repeatedly activated together, often summarised as "neurons that fire together wire together". Hebbian learning was one of the first proposed mechanisms for how a Neural network might learn from experience, and it influenced later training approaches in connectionist AI.
