Daphne Koller

Daphne Koller

An Israeli-American computer scientist known for foundational work on probabilistic graphical models, mathematical structures for representing uncertainty and reasoning over related variables, drawing on the Bayesian tradition. She co-founded the online education platform Coursera with Andrew Ng in 2012, and later founded Insitro, a company applying machine learning to drug discovery. (See also: Andrew Ng, Thomas Bayes)
