Synthetic data

Artificially generated data, often produced by another AI model, used to train or test an AI system in place of, or alongside, real-world data. Synthetic data can help fill gaps where real data is scarce, sensitive, or expensive to collect, but overuse without enough genuine data carries the risk of model collapse.
