Explainable AI (XAI)

Approaches and tools aimed at making an AI system's decisions understandable to humans, rather than leaving its reasoning as an opaque "black box". Explainability matters most in high-stakes contexts, such as medical diagnosis or credit decisions, where affected people and regulators have a legitimate interest in knowing why a system reached a given conclusion.
