Artificial intelligence (AI)

The broad field of computer science concerned with building systems that perform tasks normally associated with human intelligence, such as recognising patterns, making decisions, or generating text and images. In practice, most systems marketed as "AI" today are machine learning systems trained on large datasets rather than anything resembling human reasoning. (See also: Machine learning, Generative AI)
