Łukasz Kaiser

A Polish computer scientist and co-author of the 2017 Transformer paper, who also built Tensor2Tensor, the library that made the architecture easy for others to reuse, and worked on the Neural GPU and on multimodal single-model architectures. He moved to OpenAI, where he contributed to the reasoning models that spend additional computation at inference time rather than only at training time. (See also: Transformer, Inference, Compute)
